ADULT
SAILING LESSONS
At MacSailing we want your learning
experience to be relaxed, easy and fun. Our instructors are all
Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) or equivalent certified. They
are very knowledgeable and bring many years of sailing and teaching
experience to share with you.
The easiest way to learn is by doing, so our
courses are designed to maximize practical experience. Key points
are covered in classroom sessions, but 80% of your time will be
spent on the water.
The links below will have our 2012 schedule
in early February.
MacSailing
has lifejackets and wetsuits for everyone. Participants just need
to bring a towel, change of clothes, sun hat and soft soled shoes
that will get wet.
Our
beginner sailing lessons follow the CYA curriculum starting from
White Sail I up to Bronze IV. Part of the learning experience is
knowing how to rig and de-rig the boats and all participants learn
how to rig, de-rig and launch boats.
The Jericho
Sailing Centre is a Canadian Coast Guard Station. Safety is a key
part of all programs at MacSailing.
