MacSailing is the first sailing school in Canada to encompass instruction from the novice to the expert racing sailor. Our goal is to offer a complete sailing experience based upon excellent instruction and a safe environment, utilizing equipment appropriate for all ages in a fun and dynamic atmosphere. All of our coaches are Canadian Yachting Association certified with water safety and first-aid training.

MacSailing is owned and operated by current and past members of Canada’s National Sailing Team. The coaching staff includes four coaches with head coach certification and three senior instructors. MacSailing was founded in1998 by Ross and Marcia Macdonald, Ross is a two-time Olympic Medallist (1992 and 2004). The Managing Director is Dave Thomas, a past Director of the Canadian Yachting Association, member of the Learn-to-Sail committee and former head coach of the Canadian National Sailing Team.
