Optimist Racing Program

The world famous Optimist dinghy is the most popular and competitively sailed dinghy for ages 14 and under. During this week-long course sailors will train with a certified coach who has experience competing internationally. Participants can expect to work on components such as starting tactics, sail trim, boat handling, upwind tactics, downwind tactics and the rules of racing. Competitors must have completed Optimist level II or equivalent to participate. Course fee includes the use of a race-rigged Optimist dinghy, inquire about discounts for those that bring their own boat.

Time: Monday to Friday, 10am-3pm
